Today I completed a whole bunch of assignments on my test book. It was very sturdy work and hard on the brain and boring, but I did a lot. I also took a good 5 minutes to walk and do flips. It was a productive class.

Novel Response 16

Today for my novel response, I decided to continue reading Pokemon. The chapter i read, chapter 7, is entitled Charizard vs. Aerodactyl. At the start of the chapter, Ash, is still in the air with Aerodactyl. Misty and Brock see him so they decide to ask Jigglypuff to sing a sleeping song so that Aerodactyl falls asleep and lets Ash down. Just as Jiggly is about to sing, something happens. Charmeleon starts bursting into flames and evolves into Charizard! Charizard starting bursting huge flames at Aerodactyl. Ash was getting burned every time. The reason Charmeleon evolved was to defeat Aerodactyl because it had knocked him out in the cave. Ash was in great danger because Charizard didn't care about hurting him in the midst of defeating Aerodactyl.

For this novel response, I decided to continue reading Pokemon. The chapter I read , chapter 6, was entitled: Aerodactyl Attack!In this chapter, Brock, Misty, and a police officer named Jenny are still trying to uncover the others from rocks. Brock uses one of his stronger pokemons, Geodude, to help them do so. Meanwhile, Ash Pickachu and the team rocket are trapped into the cave. They are threatened by an extinct flying pokemon called Aerodactyl. The guys tried to run from Aerodactyl in the cave, and found an exit. Just as they were about to be out, Aerodactyl soared down and grabbed Ash with his claws. He flew out with Ash, and Pickachu and Charmeleon decided to hang on to Aerodactyl's tale to try and help him.

The Elephant’s Child
-Main idea: how did the elephant get his trunk?
-Repetition: Spankings over and over.
-Alliteration: great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River.
-Long trunk is from alligator pulling on his trunk.
-Elephant keeps saying that he gets spanked.
-Names are used over and over.
-Does not use pronoun.
-‘’Oh Best Beloved” as though the author is talking to the audience.
-Elephant says “Excuse me” many times when he begins talking to people.
-Elephant has conversations with different animals that are similar.

The Bulls Handy Cow
In a time where even humans didn’t exist yet, cows, Girls and Boys, had no udders. They only had strong bulky shoulders, whom they fetched goat milk with for the bulls. In fact, any cow who dared approach a bull without milk would only here ‘’MILK IT! MILK IT!’’. This lead to cows having a very poor life, milking all their days long, and did I mention a goat isn’t the nicest animal to milk? They moat and groan, and are very strenuous to get milk from.
One fine morning, a young cow named Mike decided she wanted to know why only they had to milk the goats, and not the bulls. The bulls were built much stronger and steady, there fore why shouldn’t they milk some goats instead of just pouting at the cows? So, he approached the hoard of bulls, and asked them: ‘’ wadup boy?! Why don’t you guys fetch and fetch milk for a change?’’ the bulls all chanted in a raging chorus ‘’GO! MILK IT MIKE! MILK IT!’’
Mike didn’t get discouraged with this though, instead Mike went and fetched them their milk, and decided to go ask someone else. Mike entered the barn, Girls and Boys, and asked the biggest and fairest red rooster there was: ‘’wadup boy? Red rooster, why don’t the bulls fetch and fetch milk for a change?’’ The rooster replied in a deadly cry: ‘’ GO! MILK IT MIKE! MILK IT!’’
Mike went and fetched milk, and with a little bit of exasperation went to bed. The fallowing morning, Girls and Boys, her hopes were back up. Many animals were left to be asked, and Mike needed to find out why she had to fetch milk and not the bulls. The rabbit, who was known for his kindness surely wouldn’t order her to fetch milk. So, Mike approached and said: ‘’wadup boy? Big Funny Bunny Rabbit, why don’t the bulls fetch and fetch milk for a change?’’ The Big Funny Bunny Rabbit replied: ‘’ GO! MILK IT MIKE! MILK IT!’’
From that second on, Mike the cow was furious, she ran straight up to the goat and asked ‘’ wadup boy? DEAR DAIRY GOAT, WHY DON’T THE BULLS FETCH AND FETCH MILK FOR A CHANGE?!?!?!’’ the goat replied: ‘’because they have dull minded cows like you to do it for them!’’ Mike the cow was so furious that she jumped on the goat and ate it in a matter of seconds. For the fallowing two days, Mike had the biggest and strongest stomach ache ever to be, and on the third morning, she woke up with udders!
Mike’s udders were so productive, that no animal on the farm wanted to touch a goat anymore, in fact every cow on the farm wanted there own pair! Mike the cow finally got revenge though; she only gave milk to the other cows like her, and not to any of the mean animals who had sent her fetching milk instead of answering her questions.

Novel response 13

For this novel response, I chose to continue reading pokemon. The chapter i read was entitled: Battle in the cavern. In this chapter, Ash and the Team Rocket were cornered by the rare pokemons in the cave. They decided to fight back instead of letting themselves get beat, but it didn't make much of a difference. The rare pokemon were too strong. Ash thought his Charmeleon could of made a difference (second evolution high level fire pokemon), but since Charmeleon was too high level and Ash wasn't the most experience trainer, Charmeleon didn't want to listen. Finally, the rare pokemons left mysteriously, Ash and Team Rocket were relieved, but only for a brief moment. A big purple dragon pokem came hurling towards them.

Novel response 12

For this novel response, i decided to read chapter 4 of Pokemon. The chapter is entitled The Prehistoric Pokemon. In this chapter, we see the point of vue of ash and the team rocket who are buried in a cave. They wake up, and immediatly start arguing. Then, 4 pokemon which none of them have ever seen emerge from the darkness. Ash pulled out a device called dexter which is a digital pokemon encyclopedia to find out what they were, dexter knew there names but nothing else except that they were supposedly exctinct for over 10 thousand years. Team Rocket threw pokebals at them to capture them but their efforts were in vain. Suddenly, the pokemon started approaching the band menacingly, and four more apeared and did the same. The chapter ended there as the adventures were groing scared, realizing they were trapped and had no where to go.

For this chapter, i decided to continue reading pokemon. THe chater I read was entitled trapped!. In this chapter, Ash, Pikachu, Squirtle and the Team Rocket were trapped in a cave caused by the explosion. They were litteraly buried by boulders. Misty and Brock came back to the explosion sight and after realizing Ash might be buried under there, started digging! The dug up Squirtle's head and he told them in pokemon language that Ash and Pika were under there stuck. Together, Brock and Squirtle continued digging while Misty went to get help. On her way to get help she met Jigglypuff, a small pink pokemon who loves to sing. Sadly, Misty had to cut her song short and keep going lol.

For this response, I decided to continue reading Pokemon. The chapter I read was entitled: Stop That Fuse! In this chapter, we find out that the rare pokemon fossil Gary had found was just a lump of focilized fecies. Then, Ash and his friends headed away from the canyon to dig. They met the Team Rocket on there way who were just about to blow up the canyon with dynamite. Ash sent Misty and Brock to evacuate the canyon, while he would try and stop Team Rocket. Team Rocket lit the dynamite fuse on fire, so, Ash sent out squirtle(a turtle like water pokemon) to try and extinguish the fuse, but the fuse was burning too fast for squirtle to squirt on. Pikachu(a cat like lightning pokemon) good hearteadly thought he could stop the fuse by sending an electric boalt at it.. but it just made the entire canyon exlode.

For this novel response, I read a chapter in : Pokemon Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon. As the book starts of, we aren't really sure what is going on. Ash Ketchum is having an argument with his two friends, Brock and Misty, about where they were and the utility of the place in becoming the worlds greatest pokemon trainer. Finally, they saw a bunch of people comming along with shovels. Ash asked the leader of the group what they were doing, and he replied he was there to find rare pokemon fossils. So, Ash decided he was going to be the first to find a rare fossil in order to defeat his arch nemesis Gary Oak. As he was saying how he would be able to dominate Gary with a rare pokemon, Gary apeared! In his hands, was a rare pokemon fossil -_-.

One day, John Salomon noticed a new fish stall in the market. All the fish were hung too high for John Salomon to catch, but being pretty drunk, John decided not to care about getting caught and jumped to catch one. It was only a few seconds later that John Salomon noticed he never got back to the ground!
A big, tall, black-man, with long braided hair and shark skinny teeth was holding him by the neck with a menacing look on his face. He pulled John Salomon onto his back and started running towards the river while screaming words that were never heard of. Once he got to the river, he threw John Salomon into it and disappeared.
From that day on, no one has ever heard of, or found any trace of John Salomon near the river. Although, many rumours of sightings of a salmon around four feet long, who swam in distorted motions and who had white marks around his neck, like if having been strangled, have been coming around very often.

About me essay!

Hi, my name is Mike, and here is a little essay about me. One of my major centers of interest in life is music, and more specifically guitar. In fact, two of my favourite bands are Metallica and Lamb of God, and I am going to see them in Quebec on November first! In school, I do not have too much difficulty. My favourite subjects in school go as fallows: music, gym, chemistry, and math. In my family, we are four: my father Jacques Bujold, my mother Audrey Smith, and my sister Maude Bujold. My family name is Smith Bujold, Smith coming from my mother, and Bujold from my father. One of my hobbies and interests in life is martial arts. I practice judo and karate, and soon will be starting boxing. I love to watch the UFC and I read many articles on Mixed Martial Arts every day!

Slice-Nelson produces record MMA ratings

This wendsday, a huge fight aired on spike tv. Kevin Kimbo Slice, vs Roy Big Country Nelson. This fight which occured on the ultimate fighter show aired record raitings. Infact, 6.8 million viewers were drawn to watch that episode. THIS IS HUGE. It is one of the record raitings every to air on spike, and a record for the ultimate fighter series, which is at its tenth season. Kimbo loss to Big Country Nelson by Tko. In my opinnion, it was the most disgusting loss I have ever seen in MMA. You see, Big Country Nelson, is a big, unathletic glob of fat. So, when he mounts you, he is very difficult to shake off. Kimbo having already limited ground game was doomed. Roy just mounted him and let his fat and weight alover Kimbos body, and gave him very, very, light punches. This was just enough to force the referee to call it a Tko, but Roy really didn't do any damage to Kimbo. I would of loved to have seen the fight go standing all along, because one thing is sure, Kimbo has some verry explosive hands. After all, it is Kimbos hands which drew 6.8million viewer raitings.

Kimbo says Petruzelli better watch himself in 'sissy' ice cream shop

In this article, street fighter Kimbo Slice was interviewed. He was asked questions about the ultimate fighter show which he figured on. The interview seemed like going pretty well, until the guy interviewing him mentioned Seth Petruzelli trash talking about him. Seth Pretruzelli, is the man who gave the first ever carrer loss to Kimbo, and that in 11seconds. Kimbo has evolved alot as a mixed martial artist since then, and belives that he simply just got caught. He got very angry about Seth talking trash about him, so he stated that he would fight and dominate him anytime. I think Kimbo is much stronger and explosive than he use to be. He was simply a big, toff, street fighter, but now he is becomming a mixed martial artist. If ever both heavyweights were to rematch, I think Kimbo could go home with a win over the former karate champion.

Report, to the Principal's Office by Jerry Spinelli - Chapter 1

The first chapter of Jerry Spinelli's ''Report to the princpal's office'' was pretty interesting. The setting is assumed to take place near the 1960's since both main characters of the book are from the babyboom. The two main characters are Sunny Wyler, and Hillary Kain. Hyllary and Sunny live in front of each other. Due to a huge increase in population due to the baby boom, Hillary and Sunny are sent to seperate schools. You see, the town built a new school to accomodate for the need, and the line seperating who goes to which school was put between both their houses, in middle of the road. Both girls are extremely anxious and sad of being seperated this year, and by the looks of it, they will do everything to be reunnited again. Up to now, the book seams pretty exciting, and I am anxious to read the next chapter.

4 UFC 103 Continuation

Other than the main event bout, which catapulted Vitor Belfort in a top contender ranking, there were many interesting fights that night. One of them was Efrain Escudero VS. Colde Miller. This lightweight bout impressed me because Cole Miller is a very dangerous lightweight, and Escudero’s biggest test to date, but this didn’t seem to impress Efrain at all. Around 3: 25 of the very first round, Efrain landed a big right hand on Cole Miller which rocked him and sent him to the ground. Then, Efrain landed a few more punches on Cole to secure his win, knocking him out cold and winning by TKO (Technical Knockout). In my opinion, Efrain will move up the lightweight ranks very easily, and quickly will become one of the top contenders for the belt. After all, Escudero is the winner of The Ultimate Fighter season 8, and Ultimate Fighter Winners have often made world champions. In conclusion, UFC 103 seemed to be a very interesting event, even if I didn’t get the chance to watch it. I hope to see more of Efran and Vitor soon.

3 Article Summary: UFC 103

UFC 103 took place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. It was headlined by the main event bout between Rich ''Ace'' Franklin, and Vitor ''The Phenom'' Belfort. I didn't get the chance to watch UFC 103, so I read many articles describing it. I was impressed by some of the fight outcomes. First of all, I thought that Rich Franklin would of made short work of Vitor Belfort due to his high level, and continuous training compared to Vitor. But one variable which I didn't consider was that Vitor has changed training camps, and has restarted training seriously, with some of the top martial artists in the world. You see, when Vitor was only 19 years old, he concurred the light heavyweight division with ease, but due to many misshapennings in his personal life and career, he fell into depression and stopped training like he should of been thinking he had it all under his belt. For many years, his career just went downhill, and the young strong and lightning handed Vitor we used to know faded away. Unfortunately for “Ace”, the Vitor that showed up in the octagon that night appeared to be the young and feisty 19year old whom literally destroyed some of the most deadliest fighters in MMA history.

What I did today

Today, I gave a speech about three things I brought in. I was the first to start in class. The three things I brought in were my cell phone, my keys, and my lucky charm(Philippe Leblancs card). Then, I did part of a comprehension test. Afterwards, I completed my assignments of the day which included, a 10sentence summary of a chapter from a book of my choice, 10sentences on my online diary, and this post on what I did today.

Chapter 1 - Holes

For my second reading assignment, I chose to read Holes by Louis Sachar. The reason of my doing is because I thought there were copies of The Chrysalids left at school, so I left my book home. The first chapter of Holes is a description of the setting. The setting takes place in a camp in Texas called Camp Green Lake. At Camp Green Lake, there is no lake anymore. It has dried out, and now all that is left is a barren plain of dirt and dust. Beside where the lake was, there is a log cabin and two trees. The two trees make the only shade of the entire area, making the hamock between them a prised place. The cabin is property of the warden of the camp; a vicious lady whom we don't know the name yet. A description of the dangerous wild life nearing the area is discribed. Rattlesnakes, scorpions, and yellow-spotted lizards including that description.

Chapter One - The Chrysalids

For my first reading assignment, I read the first chapter of ‘’The Chrysalids’’ by John Wyndham. The chapter starts off by explaining the dream of a young boy named David. Later on, David tells about his dream to his older sister which advises him not to tell anyone about it. As the chapter unravels, we start getting a sense that the story takes place in a dystopia led by strict religious dictatorship. This is why his sister had advised him not to speak of his dream; to avoid unwanted attention from authorities. A few years later, when David was around 10, he ran off to play in the forest near his home. He met a young girl named Sophie which stuck and hurt her foot between two rocks while playing with him. David helped Sophie free and to her home, and noticed she had six toes. Sophie’s mother made him promise not to tell anyone about her sixth toe for Sophie could get in very big trouble. David realized while walking back home that the reason she could get in trouble, is that according to the bible, if a being doesn’t fit the description of a human, she isn’t one and therefore is hateful insight of god.

My summer... NOT

This summer was very exciting. I went in Australia.
